Cushnie et Ochs Spring/Summer 2012 Collection

Today I dream about the Spring/Summer 2012 collection from Cushnie et Ochs.

After completing her BA in Fashion Design, Carly Cushnie worked for Donna Karan, Proenza Shouler and Oscar De La Renta. During her time in Parsons School of Design Michelle Ochs worked for Marc Jacobs.

The two ladies joined forces and launched their label with a Spring 2009 collection which received many awards. What made me notice their new collection was the total colour looks. I always liked the idea but never was brave enough to go for it. The colour palette here is very narrow, in fact there's only five colours in it - white, black, canary yellow, pink and camel.

There are no prints in the collection whatsoever, no colour combinations, no accessories - just, simple, total one colour looks with matching shoes. How refreshing! The shapes are very varied - from body-con silhouettes, geometric cutouts to sharp-cut blazers.

Have a look at the runway pictures and some backstage shots where you can see much more details! Also, check out Cushnie et Ochs website to see the Resort 2012 collection which is fantastic as well!
