Printed Tights

Today I dream of these super-cool ombre colour gradient tights from Kron by Kronkron.

Available from theoliveshoppe.com for $73.

After finding those I decided to do a little research about printed tights and here’s what I found…

From Les Queues de Sardines there’s a selection of cute, screen printed tights. They are screen printed by hand in France by the amazing design duo M & O. They’re available in various shops from $65.

You can find these in the Creatures of Comfort shop. Tsumori Chisato offers his watercolour tights in peach/yellow for $113. Designers Anne Hilken and Christian Kurt’s label Anntian created these Zig Zag/Triangle tights which are available from $50.

If these prices seem pretty scary to you as they are to me you can find some other cool and much more affordable tights at hanselfrombasel.com with prices from $18-32.

These are from House of Holland for Pretty Polly, available from Asos, for around $12 each.

There’s always a good selection of tights in American Apparel too. My favourites are these limited edition opaque white tights featuring a unique custom watercolour brushstroke print for $25 or these Sheer Luxe Pantyhose embroidered with a variety of fun shapes.

For high-end designer tights check out the Rodarte Collection for Opening Ceremony where you can find these ribbed cotton leggings with mid-thigh and ankle buttoned cut-outs or the off-white tights with four blue-black tattoo-like prints: heart with cross; wings; horned cow skull and hinged fence.

If you’re creative and really patient you can try to make your own pair of designer tights using only a pair of sheer tights and some small embellishments like sequins, pearls or anything you like :) You’ll find the tutorial at tinysparklythings.blogspot.com

Good Luck!
