Elisabeth and James Fall 2012 Collection

Today I dream about the amazing Fall 2012 collection by Elisabeth and James.

It was a first fashion week presentation for Elisabeth and James, the brand founded by the Olsen twins in 2007.

The collection contains all the most popular trends from last winter as well as those for the upcoming summer: peplums, the pyjama trend, metallic details and burgundy colours all mixed together creating something new and fresh. It's modern and very wearable; I like how the masculine tailoring is combined with femininity and I love the mixture of colours and patterns.

The shoes... looks like pointed heels are making a comeback for real, but more than that I like the pointed loafers. There is not even one piece in this collection that I wouldn't want to wear!

Pedro Lourenço Pre-Fall 2012 Collection

Today I dream about the amazing pre-fall 2012 collection by young Brazilian designer, Pedro Lourenço.

Although Pedro is only 21 years old, it's hard to call him a young designer as he was only 12 years old when he showed his first collection at São Paulo Fashion Week.

With both his parents being designers he learned to sew before he could ride a bike! :) His new collection is very clean, graphic and sharp. I love the prints featuring beautiful images of mountains and glaciers and simple, minimalist silhouettes.

The colour palette goes from icy blue, through ombre peach to basic black and white. I also love this form of lookbook where the clothes play the main part - you can see all the details without being distracted by the colourful background or the model's poses.

Maybe thanks to the frosty colours and clean shapes this collection really matches the icy weather outside :)

What do you think?

Givenchy Pre-Fall 2012 Collection

Today I dream about the mind blowing Pre-Fall 2012 collection by Givenchy.

This is the first time that I'm completely in love with any pre collection. Usually they're not very creative and nothing special, as the name says just a 'pre'. But Givenchy has taken it to the next level - if this is how the pre-fall collection looks like then the autumn/winter one must be even more amazing!

I know these pictures have been everywhere since yesterday morning but I couldn't help myself - they had to be on my blog too :)

I also know that not everyone likes it as much as I do - they say that the boots look just like the ones by Rick Owens, that the silhouettes are very Balenciaga, that the prints are a mixture from last season and that the background is terrible and distracting. To be honest, I couldn't care less - to me, this collection is perfect!

It's something new, fresh and very luxurious in one! Meet my favourite pre-fall collection of the year!

Reed Krakoff Pre-Fall 2012 Collection

Today I dream about the super chic Pre-Fall 2012 collection by Reed Krakoff

Reed, who is also a creative director at Coach, launched his label only two years ago. His new collection is sharp and sophisticated - it's full of beautiful clean lines.

The colour palette is quite narrow but definitely not boring - the basic black, white and grey are contrasted with dusty pink or emerald green.

The main domain of Reed Krakoff though is the accessories and they are amazing as usual - ankle-strap pointy court shoes, crocodile skin knee-high boots, structured totes and portfolio-style clutches.

Thakoon Pre-Fall 2012 Collection

Today about about the dreamy pre-fall 2012 by Thakoon.

Thakoon Panichgul showed his first collection in 2004. His designs are known for their innovative construction combined with femininity. His clothes are worn by many celebrities and top fashion bloggers (think Rumi Neely).

Thakoon's Spring 2012 collection was very bold with eye catching colours even on the models hair. The pre-fall 2012 collection is totally different. Soft, pastel colours combined with very feminine silhouettes give a really dreamy effect. You may think it sounds boring but it's far from that. The secret lays in texture - my favourite cable knit mixed with furry details or leather and amazing printed knits mixed with pleats.

It's really sweet and feminine but also very wearable. Check out some of my favourite looks!
