Interior Inspiration Ideas - Dusty Hues

Today I dream about these beautiful dusty tones which you can see in the pictures below.

I've always been a fan of clean, all-white interiors but recently I've been obsessed with these muted pastel, powdery hues. They give me the feeling of serenity, tranquillity and real peace of mind which has always been important for me when designing interiors to work and sleep in. Dusty pink combined with powdery baby blue, mint or grey make an amazing combination, subtle and not over-powering without making the interior look too dark.

As you can see, they look great in any style, blended with antiques, modern pieces or with copper elements. What do you think about this decorating idea?

Lauren Santo Domingo's Apatment

Today I dream about this stunning duplex in Paris which belongs to Lauren Santo Domingo.

Lauren Santo Domingo is the co-founder and creative director of the online retailer, Moda Operandi. She's also a contributing editor at Vogue. In the past, Lauren has worked as the PR director for Paris-based J. Mendel and also for the PR department of Carolina Herrera for the Puig Group. She's well known for her immaculate personal style... and her stunning apartments.

Here you can see her one of a kind New York apartment and thanks to Vogue Spain we have a chance to take a peek inside the gorgeous interior of her Parisian duplex.

Although this space isn't really my style it instantly charmed me with the luxury visible in every detail and in every room of the apartment. The interior was designed by the legendary decorator Francois Catroux who decided to keep the original 18th-century boiserie and plasterwork which certainly ads a glamorous factor to the whole space.

Every single piece and detail is well thought out and together they create the perfect balance of luxury and comfort. How do you like it?

Concrete Interior

Today I dream about this amazing interior, designed by Johan Israelson and styled by Tina Hellberg.

Although normally the combination of concrete and grey wouldn't be my favourite because it's a bit cold, it is just perfect now during the heat wave!

After whining all winter about the cold and the snow, now when it's finally hot I just want to lock myself in a cold basement with a bottle of chilled beer :)

On the other hand, the idea of living in the basement isn't so great so I would gladly exchange it for this super cool space! I love the combination of white wooden beams combined with concrete walls and black and white details. With the surrounding plants and warm light it looks quite cosy after all!

Mellow Apartment in Denmark

Today I dream about this tranquil apartment located near Copenhagen, Denmark.

What I love the most about this interior are the muted colours - the whole space is filled with greyish, mink and taupe tones. It makes the interior look kind of melancholic and wintery but also very calm and relaxing.

All the rugs, warm throws and cushions add cosiness to the interior just like the artwork and bookshelves add personality.

The apartment is a perfect example on how to mix colours and textures in perfect balance.

How do you like it?

Wooden Hut in French Alps

Today I dream about this dreamy wooden house located in the French Alps with Mont Blanc on the horizon.

I have always dreamed about a little secluded wooden hut in the middle on nowhere and this house just ticks all the boxes! Although the interior is not my style, I still love it - it's very atmospheric and just perfect for a winter holiday home.

What I love the most about this interior is the huge amount of open-space with high ceilings and big windows overlooking the snowy mountains. The large amount of natural wood, fur and leather accessories, cushions and throws make the interior really cosy too. The vintage oriental finds brought by the owners from all over the world add colour and personality to the home.

What's not to love? Well, maybe the heating bills... :)

Dreamy House In Provence

Today I dream about this serene house located in Lourmarin, south of France.

The house belongs to Marie and Frédéric who fell in love with Provence and this old stone house. They renovated it with help from the locals; most of the furniture was made by the local carpenter which apart from saving them a lot of money, added a priceless personal touch and sentimental value.

The interiors are quite ascetic - stone and concrete walls, metal window frames and stone or tiled floors create a really amazing vibe. You won't find anything unnecessary here, the presence of every item is really well thought out.

The thing I like the most about this lovely house is the colour palette. The combinations of dusty pink, mauve, mink, greys, cream and milky coffee shades are just perfect! It's an amazing combination based on contrasts and the play of colours and textures. Mixing old with modern is a difficult art but Marie and Frédéric really made it work! How do you like it?
