COS Spring/Summer 2013 Collection

Today I dream about the new Spring/Summer 2013 by COS.

As COS is one of my favourite high-street shops I was really excited to finally see the lookbook for the new collection. I have to be honest, at first I wasn't that keen on it but after a closer look I started to love it!

The bleached out colour palette is like a breath of fresh air from the overtaking wintery blacks and greys seen everywhere on the streets at this time of the year. The washed out whites, pinks, greens and nudes are just perfect for the hot summer as well as the fabrics used in the collection. Everything is light, airy and breathable.

The thing I like the most here is the colour combinations - I would never say that candy cotton pink could look so good when combined with rich green or mustard yellow. As a big fan of the pastel colours I'm very pleased with the colour choices here and to keep the collection from being too sweet all the pieces look very structured.

Clean lines, simple shapes, the lack of prints and the characteristic COS collars made a pretty good combination and I can't wait to see the collection in street-style looks!

I'm sorry for the lack of updates lately, I'm relocating and starting from fresh so I'm really busy but soon it will be all back to normal!

Wooden Hut in French Alps

Today I dream about this dreamy wooden house located in the French Alps with Mont Blanc on the horizon.

I have always dreamed about a little secluded wooden hut in the middle on nowhere and this house just ticks all the boxes! Although the interior is not my style, I still love it - it's very atmospheric and just perfect for a winter holiday home.

What I love the most about this interior is the huge amount of open-space with high ceilings and big windows overlooking the snowy mountains. The large amount of natural wood, fur and leather accessories, cushions and throws make the interior really cosy too. The vintage oriental finds brought by the owners from all over the world add colour and personality to the home.

What's not to love? Well, maybe the heating bills... :)

Apiece Apart Spring/Summer 2013 Lookbook

Today I dream about the beautiful Spring/Summer 2013 collection by Apiece Apart.

The brand founded and designed by Laura Cramer and Starr Hout creates simple, adaptable and versatile pieces.

Clean lines, simple shapes, great quality fabrics and spotless tailoring are the brand's hallmarks. It's the kind of label that creates a complete wardrobe, pieces that you can pack in one suitcase and will never run out of combinations. It's all about mix and match!

The new collection represents a space where Scandinavia meets Japan. As the designers describe, "The collection mixes Danish modernism with the imperfect, raw edges of Wabi Sabi". The cool and modern combined with the warm and natural. I love the simple colour palette of whites, sand tones, tan, pinks, yellow and indigo blue. Also, it features my beloved vertical stripes :)

The thing that charmed me the most about this collection is the beautiful layering and how all the pieces are just universal and ageless. What do you think?

Dreamy House In Provence

Today I dream about this serene house located in Lourmarin, south of France.

The house belongs to Marie and Frédéric who fell in love with Provence and this old stone house. They renovated it with help from the locals; most of the furniture was made by the local carpenter which apart from saving them a lot of money, added a priceless personal touch and sentimental value.

The interiors are quite ascetic - stone and concrete walls, metal window frames and stone or tiled floors create a really amazing vibe. You won't find anything unnecessary here, the presence of every item is really well thought out.

The thing I like the most about this lovely house is the colour palette. The combinations of dusty pink, mauve, mink, greys, cream and milky coffee shades are just perfect! It's an amazing combination based on contrasts and the play of colours and textures. Mixing old with modern is a difficult art but Marie and Frédéric really made it work! How do you like it?

Petit Bateau & Carven Collaboration

Today I dream about the lovely collaboration between two beloved French brands, Petit Bateau and Carven.

I know that everyone is still raving about the Maison Martin Margiela for H&M collaboration (that I will write a bit more about soon) and here's the next one worth watching.

If you're dreaming about the perfect Breton top, Petit Bateau is the right place to find it. With devoted fans including Alexa Chung and Kate Moss, the brand doesn't need any extra hype. They decided to reinvent the classics with a little twist by Carven and the result is this super chic capsule collection.

The collection features styles for men, women and kids and it involves preppy polo shirts, Breton stripes, simple dresses in bold colours and Carven's staple - Peter Pan collars.

The Petit Bateau & Carven collection will be available to buy from December the 6th in all Petit Bateau stores worldwide.
