All Saints Spring/Summer 2011

Today I dream of the new Spring/Summer 2011 All Saints collection.

I love everything about it - the combination of Aztec prints with tomboy style suits and leather is just amazing!

The colour palette is quite simple: blue, black, white and earthy tones. It's a great alternative to the neons which are so popular now that I hate.

My favourite pieces from this collection are the beautiful black leather jacket with asymmetric fastenings and all those gorgeous Aztec style sequined dresses. All the shirts and blazers would be just perfect for work!

All Saints be praised :)

Society for Rational Dress Spring 2011 Collection

Today I dream of the Society for National Dress Spring 2011 collection

The label was founded in 2005 by designer Corrine Grassini. The brand was named after a group of women who wanted to have freedom in what they wore at the end of the 19th century.

Corrine creates tailored clothes with the aim of making women feel comfortable and confident. The new Spring 2011 collection reflects that in every way - just check out the lookbook!

My favourite piece from this collection is that lovely tan trench coat - it is exactly what I was looking for for Spring!

You can't miss the shoes either, what do you think of them?

Cosmic Wonder Light Source

Today I dream of Cosmic Wonder's new Spring/Summer 2011 collection called "Spectral Coast".

Cosmic Wonder is a conceptual project initiated in 1997 by artist Yukinori Maeda. It is composed of three distinct activities; Cosmic Wonder (artworks), Cosmic Wonder Light Source (fashion and lifestyle project) and Cosmic Wonder Free Press (book and music publishing).

The entire production process is certified chemical-free and fair-trade. All products are hand-dyed with herbs such as akane, gardenia, pomegranate, mulberry leaf, rose bengal, catechu, and natural indigo. Prints are also done by hand with herbal dyes.

What do you think of this ecologically-focused collection? I'm so in love with those shoes - you can buy them here!

Kitsuné Spring/Summer 2011 Collection

Today I dream of Kitsuné's new Spring/Summer 2011 collection.

The collection is inspired by the movie "The Passenger" directed by Antonioni starring Jack Nicholson.

Founded in 2002, Kitsuné represents timeless elegance. Combining tradition with modern shapes and the best quality fabrics, Kitsuné created the 'new classic' style.

I recently got a new job and I was looking for smart casual clothes and found that it's really difficult to find something smart but fashionable and not over the top. This collection would be just perfect: classic, simple and elegant. If it only was more wallet friendly :(

Do you have any advice on where can I find something smart but casual in more reasonable prices? ;)

Stolen Girlfriends Club Spring/Summer 2011 Collection

Today I dream of the Stolen Girlfriends Club Spring/Summer 2011 collection.

The New Zealand's label Stolen Girlfriends Club was founded by Marc Moore, Luke Harwood and Dan Gosling in 2005.

In the colour palette we find light tones of candy pink, nudes, fresh white and baby blue with a touch of black. The collection is very feminine - there's a lot of drapings, layerings and sheer, floaty fabrics. The sheer panels and fine tailored shirts keep the collection from being too girly and sweet.

Stolen Girlfriends Club presented their latest collection 'Untitled' in the New World supermarket at Victoria Park (Auckland) which was taken over by models treating each aisle as a catwalk. I think it's a fantastic idea, you can watch the video here!

What do you think, is it perfect for this summer?

ANNTIAN Spring/Summer 2011 Collection

Today I dream of ANNTIAN's new collection.

The brand was founded in Berlin in 2006 by designers Anne Hilken and Christian Kurt. All the graphics are hand printed or hand painted which makes each piece individual and unique!

The designers also strive to utilise regional manufacturing resources along with natural, more ecologically friendly fabrics. Their new collection called "Ocean View" is very harmonic, intensive and full of hidden details.

Have a look at the lookbook and ANNTIAN's designs from the Pour Porter shop!

Dion Lee Sping/Summer 2011 Collection

Today I dream of Dion Lee's amazing new collection.

Dion is a very talented Australian designer, best known for his architectural approach to tailoring and luxurious choice of fabrics.

To me this collection is very unpredictable - especially the colour palette. First he used Rorschach blots as a print and made them almost look like beautiful flowers. Then he has also combined pleating and knotting to create truly mesmerizing dresses.

All of his designs are constructed in a very artful way and because of that I think he's a designer we should all watch.

Have a look at these photos and a video from the Spring/Summer 2011 collection.

Line II lookbook

The wonderful Line II lookbook is designed to accompany Dion Lee's mainline collection and also to stand alone as its own entity.
