Beach Bungalow in Cape Town

Today I dream about this amazing beach house located in Cape Town, South Africa.

The weather in the UK has been horrible lately so I figured that the only way to get some sun is to look at pictures like this :) Looking at those picturesque surroundings and then looking out of my window is also a kind of torture though!

The house belongs to Cathy Smit who lives there with her husband and their three children and it's right on the Bakoven beach, one of the most charming beaches in South Africa. You can easily see why: the majestic mountains in the back with a beautiful blue sea make an amazing combination.

The house blends nicely with its surroundings, it's not overpowering to the rest of the environment. Cathy designed the interiors herself: it's classic beach house style with lots of wood plus white and blue colours and of course Cathy's personal twist.

I like it because it aids the appreciation of the natural beauty surrounding the house instead of trying to compete with it.

I think it's one of the most beautiful places I blogged about - I'm in love with it and waiting for summer :)

  9. Wow! What a nice place to live in! Beach havens are popular for their crisp white color scheme which reflects a refreshing ambiance throughout the place. The roof, which is often the first to be spotted, is good together with cream-white paint. Overall, the splash of white colors reflects a classic and timeless beauty to a beach house.
