Saturday Recipes - Spinach!

Today I dream about trying all those delicious spinach dishes.

Probably some of you made the "yuk" face just after reading the post title but believe me, spinach doesn't have to be bad! I never used to like it, it always thought it tasted just like cooked grass but it was only because I didn't know how to serve it.

I once had it fried with lots of garlic and herbs and it was truly mind changing experience. Since then it's a regular guest on my table and I'm curious to try anything involving spinach. Plus, we've all watched Popeye so we know how healthy it is :)

Spinach Calzone

Claudie Pierlot Autumn/Winter 2011 Collection

Today I dream about the beautiful Autumn/Winter 2011 collection by Claudie Pierlot.

I'm always jealous of French girls - only they can achieve this effortless, nonchalant and super chic look. This collection represents that perfectly. The Parisian brand which is art directed by two sisters, Evelyn Chétrite and Judith Milgrom, showed the essence of that french charm in this collection.

The sisters share a sense of fashion and business - they are also behind two other brands: Sandro (I showed you their Fall 2011 collection here) and Maje.

I love every single piece of this collection: from the chunky knits, through the starry trousers, stripy tops and tartan ensembles to biker jackets and loafers. Some looks are a a bit masculine, some are a bit dandy but all of them are equally stylish.

Midnight in Paris :)

Artist Loft in Williamsburg

Today I dream about this huge amazing loft in Wiliamsburg.

The loft, which used to be an abandoned warehouse was designed by Ochs Design. The company, which was founded by Paul Ochs in 1989, specializes in renovation and restoration.

The interior is not my style but still, somehow I love it. I think it might be because I always secretly wanted to be a crazy artist who lives for art and doesn't care about the world :)

I love the vibe of it, the art in every corner. I normally don't really like such a big, open space but in this case it's a great way to display all the artwork and have enough space for creating more of it. I love the kitchen with the big wooden table and very well designed cute little cabinets. I even love the huge bed with all the fabric draped as a canopy to create that french meets greek effect.

Most of all though, I love the amount of light there, the place is just soaked in sunlight and that's what I'm missing lately thanks to the famous English weather...

I apologise for the recent lack of interiors posts, it's getting harder and harder to find something that hasn't been posted already ten times but I promise another one on Sunday :)

Saturday Recipes - Savoury Tarts!

Today I dream about trying all those delicious looking savoury tarts!

As promised last week, after the sweet ones it's now time for savoury tarts. I found so many great recipes that this might be the longest food post ever :)

Tarts are really easy to make, my favourite ones are the vegetable ones - they're healthy and look so summery! Also, vegetables like tomatoes, peppers and onions are available all year round so no excuse here.

As well as including classic recipes in this post, I tried to find something new, unusual and definitely worth trying! Enjoy!

Today I dream about Raquel Allegra's Fall/Winter 2011 collection which is just perfect for autumn!

Raquel is a California based designer who creates comfortable yet elegant pieces. I love the colours: cream, camel, gray and black plus some beautiful tie-dye. The oversized shapes, soft jerseys and chunky knits are just perfect for layering which is my favourite trend for every autumn.

Ana Beatriz Barros in Harper's Bazaar Turkey

Today I dream about this stunning photoshoot of Ana Beatriz Barros by Koray Birard.

The pictures appeared in the November 2011 edition of Harper's Bazaar Turkey. It's funny because I first noticed Ana years ago in J.Lo's campaign for her fashion line called Sweetface. The clothes weren't great but Ana looked beautiful with her green eyes and perfect body.

It's been years and now I finally see her styled elegantly and chic which suits her best. Styled by Mert Aslan, Ana looked beautiful in the designs of Louis Vuitton, Stella McCartney, Miu Miu and others. The surroundings of a perfect Italian villa (at least that's how I see it) matched the elegant style of the shoot perfectly.

J. Lindeberg Autumn/Winter 2011 Collection

Today I dream about the super chic Autumn/Winter 2011 collection from J. Lindeberg.

The Swedish brand, founded in 1997 combines fashion with sportswear. Although designing ski and golf collections is what made the brand famous, the main line is quite different.

It's very smart, elegant and classic. It's mostly tailored blazers and trousers, trench coats and simple shift dresses. To keep it far from boring there's also jeans, chelsea boots and cozy knits. To me this collection would make perfect workwear as well as being wonderful for any occasion.

Do you remember this post about The Kooples, a brand designing matching clothes for couples? This is another example how great a couple can look when styled in a similar way.
