Anne Sophie Madsen's Designs

Today I dream about the amazing designs by Anne Sophie Madsen who is definitely one of my favourite discoveries!

Anne Sophie is a Danish-born graduate from the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts. She trained under John Galliano for Dior in Paris then she moved to London to work for Alexander McQueen as a junior designer

Anne Sophie debuted her couture-inspired collection during London Fashion Week in 2010. You can definitely see the influence and genius of Galliano and McQueen's designs in Anne Sophie's collections. All those couture techniques and experiments with materials make her designs really unique.

I can't even imagine how much skill and talent it takes to create such detailed pleating and embellishments. Also, all the prints you see are hand-drawn by Anne Sophie and you can see more of them here.

To finish, check out the video from New York Fashion Week which captured Anne Sophie talking about her latest collection.

Deco Autumn/Winter 2012 Campaign

Today I dream about the very chic Autumn/Winter 2012 campaign by Deco featuring the beautiful Sigrid Agren.

I first introduced you to this Korean brand in a post about their feminine and sophisticated S/S 2012 collection and the beautiful campaign featuring Constance Jablonski.

This collection, as well as the campaign, is more modern. The colours, simple shapes and strong cuts - it's all very up to trend. The campaign is very consistent with the concept of the brand which is to create modern and chic pieces perfect for busy urban life.

All the pieces are very wearable and versatile, my favourite piece here is that gorgeous oversized camel coat with double collar and red lining - just wow! What do you think?

Also, check out Deco's website to see the backstage video - it's always great to see the clothes in movement! :)

Wintery Cornish Cottage

Today I dream about this wonderful cottage by the sea located in Cornwall, England.

Originally built in the 1800s on 17th-century foundations the house is a perfect combination of rustic charm and modern elegance. It's so serene that living there must feel like holiday every day :)

I love the subtle, melancholic wintery colours of white and different shades of grey warmed with milky coffee shades of brown. It seems just perfect for all those long, mellow autumn evenings which you could spend reading books with a warm cat on your lap.

Grey was never my favourite colour when it comes to interiors but now I see how perfect it looks when combined with white or contrasted with brown. It does still look a little cold, but also mysterious and really stylish.

Emerson Fry Fall 2012 Collection

Today I dream about the super chic Fall 2012 collection by Emerson Fry.

I remember Emerson from her first project, Emersonmade when she was making pretty little pins, feminine blouses and perfectly cut jeans. Now she's back as Emerson Fry with a fabulous Fall 2012 collection which involves timeless, chic, wearable and really versatile pieces.

It reminds me a little bit of Kate Moss' effortless chic combined with Parisian elegance and New York coolness. I would gladly welcome every piece of the collection in my wardrobe right away, especially all the coats!

The thing I love about Emerson is that her designs complete each other - apart from designing clothes she also designs shoes and accessories so you have a complete wardrobe straight away. The only thing I could moan about here is the fact that I miss seeing Emerson modelling her own designs; apart from that, everything is just perfect!

This is exactly how I would like to look this fall and I just can't wait to see the Spring collection!

J.Crew Spring 2013 Collection

Today I dream about the playful new Spring 2013 collection by J.Crew.

The American brand run by executive creative director Jenna Lyons and Tom Mora, the head of women's design, has managed to charm me once more with their preppy and slightly sporty silhouettes, botanical prints and girly colours.

The New York Fashion Week is slowly coming to an end and so far J.Crew's new collection is one of my favourites.

The other two that caught my attention were the futuristic collection of Alexander Wang and Zac Posen's vintage inspired collection, but they both deserve separate posts!

Tom Mora definitely has an eye for detail and it's the details that I like the most about this collection. Baroque inspired prints combined with botanical patterns, maritime stripes and playful colour schemes make a really lovely combination! I just love the accessories too - the bags shoes, caps and geek frames perfect every look and add character.

Next spring looks really promising!

Modern-Glamour Condo in Atlanta

Today I dream about this amazing high-rise Sovereign condo in Atlanta.

I know that I haven't been posting as often as usual, August is a really boring time for the fashion industry or more accurately, it's a boring time for us as the fashion industry prepares for Fashion Week which starts next week in New York. So, I have another interior design post - hope you don't mind :)

I really don't want to show something mediocre only for the sake of posting it, so I prefer choose subjects I'm really interested in. Anyway, today's house is really stunning, it belongs to Lee and Kevin Kleinhelter. Lee is the founder of Pieces, offering unique furnishings and home accessories which her own house if full of.

My favourite part of the house is of course the bedroom which pretty much is the bedroom of my dreams. Spacious and elegant with a massive bed, beautiful shades of white and spectacular views - what more could you ask for?

As for the rest of the house it's really sophisticated and elegant; luxurious but not over the top and filled with beautiful, unique pieces - pure class! I really regret that we cannot see the kitchen but I'm sure it's uber stylish too, just like the rest of the place.

It's a beautiful combination of vintage and modern as well as rustic and sleek and kept in perfect balance.
