Personal Style - Laura Bailey

Today I dream of Laura Bailey's lovely style.

Laura is a British model, writer, ambassador of the London Fashion Week and contributing editor to British Vogue.

As you can see, she's a busy girl but looking at the pictures you can tell that fashion is a major part of her life. I can't say that I love Laura's style completely because while browsing through dozens of her looks there was some that I didn't think we're great at all.

Laura's style is very eclectic, she likes to play with shapes and textures and she never looks the same! One day she looks very romantic, the other day she goes for the rebellious look and the next one a timeless Parisian chic.

See more of her looks here!

Saturday Recipes - Sorbets!

Today I dream about all these delicious sorbets to help me cool off on these hot days :)

When the temperature goes above 25c I tend to choose sorbets over ice cream. They are more refreshing and not packed with calories like ice cream. My favourite is the classic lemon sorbet but today apart from the classics I want to show you some alternative and original flavours. Also, check out this post for my selection of ice creams, enjoy!

Summer Sorbets

Here's a selection of four flavours; Strawberry Banana, Banana Pineapple, Zippy Wild Blueberry and Spicy Mango. With this recipe though, you can make any sorbet that you can dream of plus they're all fat free! Get the recipes here!

Creamy Vanilla Apricot Sorbet

If you're a fan of vanilla ice cream like I am, this recipe is a must-try! It's creamy and full of flavour but not as rich as regular ice cream. Click here for the recipe!

Avocado Sorbet

Sorbets don't always have to be sweet! Be adventurous and try a new flavour like this one - it's flavoured with lime juice, lime zest and cilantro. Looks beautiful! Get the recipe here!

Granadilla Sorbet

Granadilla - also known as passion fruit - is not that common in Europe but you can easily replace it with a puree which you can get in some supermarkets. It's really refreshing and so full of flavour - yum! Find the recipe here!

Mixed Berries Sorbet with Vanilla Shortbread Cookies

The perfect summer treat! You can use any berries that you have at the moment - it's super easy and quick to make and it looks just heavenly! Click here for the recipe!

Chocolate Sorbet

Something for the ultimate chocoholics :) At first I thought that chocolate sorbet is not a good idea as you need the cream to achieve the right richness and sorbet might just taste like a cocoa flavoured water. That was until I saw the amount of chocolate it takes to make this sorbet ;) Get the recipe here!

Hedvig Palm by Julia Hetta for Elle Sweden, June 2012

Today I dream about this magical editorial called 'Light the Lights' which appeared in the latest edition of Elle Sweden.

When I saw the pictures I instantly remembered the collaboration between Julia Hetta and Hedvig Palm from this post by Jaga Design, one of my favourite blogs. Again, the concept of the pictures remains the same - a dark background contrasted with the model's pale skin and painting-like posing.

The shoot was styled by Mattias Karlsson who managed to show all the latest trends and statement looks from the best designers without drawing the attention away from the arty photographs. Divine!

Lambs Ears Shoes

Today I dream about replacing my entire shoe collection with these beauties :)

I was browsing through my favourite blogs and then I saw this post by Miss Moss and I just had to share it with you guys! There's not even one pair of shoes in the store that I wouldn't welcome into my wardrobe with open arms!

Lambs Ears Shoes is a store based in Seattle selling shoes and accessories from designers like A Detacher, Steven Allan, Plomo, Dieppa Restrepo and many others. I've been really bored with all my shoes lately, I don't like any of them anymore so I'm stuck in a pair of classic black ballerinas, luckily they look good with everything.

My favourite pair here are those amazing pointed slip-ons by A Detacher, they are just perfect! I've been thinking lately about my bad shoe choices, I used to buy crazy high heels that I would never wear or super unstable wedges which are now covered by a thick layer of dust, so it looks like I have a wardrobe full of shoes but really I have nothing to wear.

Now, I think that every woman needs a pair of comfortable loafers, flat leather sandals, classic brogues, a pair of ankle boots and maybe some chic heels (not 5" stilettos) and that's enough - five pairs instead of twenty and you have shoes for perfect occasion. Which pair you like the most?

Luxurious House in Djursholm

Today I dream about this amazing house located in Stockholm, Sweden.

Djursholm is one of four suburban districts of Stockholm and is a perfect location to buy a house but it's reserved only for the wealthiest as the property prices are among the most expensive in the country.

My obsession with all shades of white continues so when I spotted this house it was love at first sight :) Also, my love for Scandinavian design keeps getting stronger so the combination of white floorboards and white walls won my heart instantly!

If there's anything I would change about this house it's that I would prefer it to be a little bit smaller, it might sound crazy but I'm all about cosiness and comfort and not space :) I would also get rid of the gold touches, I know it's very classy and elegant but I'd chose something else instead.

The kitchen combined with the dining room is definitely my favourite part of the house and to me it's the most important part of every house because there's no better party than a kitchen party :) It's really perfect with the white units and marble counter tops combined with natural wood and lots of natural light coming from the garden.

Every room is really light and spacious but also very cosy and the house is still on the market here. The only minus is the price...

Edita Vilkeviciute in Twin Magazine

Today I dream about these beautiful shots of Edita Vilkeviciute by Ben Weller.

The pictures appear in the latest edition of Twin magazine which I recommend - it's a great source of inspiration!

Lately I've fallen in love with all shades of white so whenever I see a good totally white look I'm drooling :) It's the best colour for summer - really classy, clean and elegant. White looks as good in classic and smart sets as it does in looks with a sporty feel. I'm still dreaming about the amazing white peplum top by Celine - pure perfection!

Have a great weekend my dear readers and sorry for the lack of posts lately. I just started a new job but next week I promise to post more :)

Personal Style - Lucy Williams

Today I dream about the lovely Lucy Williams' personal style.

Lucy is a fashion and beauty assistant for Stylus.com and a fashion assistant at Instyle magazine. She also curates a blog called Fashion Me Now which is full of inspirations and features Lucy's fantastic outfits.

The first few pictures were captured by my favourite photographer, the super talented Vanessa Jackman (love her blog!) and they went straight into my 'I wanna wear that' folder :)

I love Lucy's style - it's so laid-back and effortlessly cool. She reminds me a little bit of Sienna Miller with her highlighted blond hair and statement hats plus she looks so likable :)

You can also follow Lucy on Pinterest here!

Spell & the Gypsy Collective Winter 2012 Sneak Peek

Today I dream about these mesmerising pictures which are a little sneak peek to the Winter 2012 collection by Spell & the Gypsy Collective.

I introduced you to the brand in one of my first ever posts (check it out here). Although the new boho/hippie and Native American inspired theme is not my style at all it always brings summer to my mind with all the festivals, beaches and crazy parties :)

If it's your style though, you have to check out brand creators Elisabeth and Isabella Briedis' blog called Spell & the Gypsy Collective which is an amazing source of inspiration.

The new lookbook "Storm Chaser" is actually just a sneak peek - I can't wait to see the whole Winter 2012 range. It features the beautiful model Jara and was photographed by Johnny Abegg and styled by the creative sisters.

I also added a few pictures from the Night of Hunters shoot which were taken on the way to the beach where the lookbook photoshoot took place. I'm in love with those amazing studded ombre boots!
