Apiece Apart Fall/Winter 2013 Collection

Today I dream about the wonderful Fall/Winter 2013 collection by Apiece Apart.

I have previously mentioned the brand founded by Laura Cramer and Starr Hout regarding their Spring/Summer 2013 collection so when I saw the new lookbook I couldn't help myself from presenting it to you once more.

The collection features all my favourite colours which bring autumn to mind - burgundy, navy, black, cream and mustard which to me will always be a 'pumpkin colour'. I love the oversized shapes, nonchalant silhouettes, hats and pointed flats combined with heavy coats.

This is how I imagine my dreamy looks for every autumn - effortless and chic, but then all the snow appears and I have to dig out the snow boots and the good, old down jacket and all the 'autumn charm' is suddenly gone...

Let's not get depressed by the weather just yet, next time I'll show you Apiece Apart's newest Spring/Summer 2014 collection which I'm sure you'll love as much as I do!

Ulla Johnson Spring 2014 Collection

Today I dream about the beautiful Spring 2014 collection by Ulla Johnson.

Born and raised in Manhattan, Ulla launched her label in 2000. Her signature style is inspired by the streets of New York and the raw energy of the metropolis. She is best known for her clean, feminine style, custom prints and intricate details. I am totally in love with the new collection!

Now that the Summer is over I'll be dreaming of these amazing pieces until next Summer. Having said that, I think that Ulla's new collection is very versatile - most of her pieces would work equally well in Autumn looks. Ulla has managed to combined all my favourite things when it comes to my Summer wardrobe - flowy, lightweight fabrics, colours, stripes, comfortable sandals, espadrilles and hats.

This Summer I rediscovered khaki again and now it's one of my favourite colours. I love the look with the creamy white shirt with back pleats combined with khaki trousers and bright pink sandals. How do you like it?

Each Other Fall/Winter 2013 Collection

Today I dream about the gorgeous Fall/Winter 2013 collection by Each Other.

Each Other is a new fashion brand focused on creating elements of enduring style rather than seasonal trends. The label's philosophy is all about timeless, ageless and genderless design.

All the pieces are made in Europe; the jackets and shirts are being made in Porto, Portugal, the leather and denim is made in Padova, Italy and the silk and outerwear is from Paris.

All the pieces created by Each Other are unisex with a masculine direction. At the moment, there are seven artists/designers designing for Each Other and each one of them has created a mini collection. When combined together they create a perfect mixture of minimalism and punk attitude.

The one which caught my eye the most is Naco's, the white stripy biker jacket he designed stole my heart!

The simple lookbook featuring Emilia Nawarecka reflects the brand's philosophy and is focused on the clothes not the settings, which after all is the most important thing!

Scotch & Soda Fall/Winter 2013 Collection

Today I dream about the fantastic and freshly revealed Fall/Winter 2013 collection by Scotch & Soda.

I always wait impatiently for Scotch & Soda's new collections and if you've been reading my blog for a while you must know that I'm a bit of a fanatic :)

The new collection doesn't disappoint - the campaign as well as the lookbook is great as usual. The campaign is based in the very diverse city of Amsterdam which expresses the vibe of the collection in a perfect way. The are four distinct themes in the new collection, the first part was inspired by travel to Morocco, the next one by scenes of the Orient and the last two by the street style of New York and Paris.

In my opinion, the new collection is a perfect mixture of modern femininity and masculine, dandy chic. There are some timeless pieces like my beloved striped top or a perfect leather jacket and a seductive LBD. Then we have some oversized checked blazers, a funky multi-coloured faux fur coat and a masculine touch seen in the black leather Chelsea boots. It's a well balanced mix of part dandy and part romantic pieces.

I always like to watch the clothes in movement and if you would like to see a video of the new collection just click here!

The brand's denim line, Amsterdam Blauw is based on the icons of denim - the people that have inspired us for ages. You can expect a mixture of rock ‘n' roll rebels and a hint of 80's glamour, laser printed paisleys and ikats, as well as winter tie-dyes.

BELLE's Scintilla Collection

Today I dream about the new collection from BELLE called 'Scintilla'.

BELLE is a Warsaw based brand created by Magdalena Nowosadzka in 2011. The pieces she creates are simple, feminine and effortlessly chic.

What I love the most about her designs is the simplicity, the basic colour palette and how versatile her pieces are - plus the affordable prices! :)

As a total maniac for stripes I instantly fell in love with this mini collection and I can't wait to get my hands on the black and white stripy tunic!

Check out my short interview with Magdalena to find out more about the brand, her inspirations and favourite places on the internet!

What inspired you to get started in design and who do you design for?

At the beginning, probably like most people starting their adventure in design I sewed for myself. This was the result of a long journey through the various fields of art from mime, drawing, painting on fabrics to designing clothes. It turned out that it's very satisfying and I feel great doing it.

How would you describe the style in which you create?

If I could I would use the word 'minimalism', but it's supposed to be banned ;) I make simple things which are relaxed, comfortable and feminine at the same time.

What inspired you while creating the new collection and where did the name came from?

I can honestly say that I am against adding a 'philosophy' to a whole collection. Of course, what always emerges is the result of inspirations collected in my head, but for me it happens quite naturally. The names of the collections are usually taken from the state which I create it in. A scintilla is a small flash; a small thing. This collection, which also premieres some pieces for children is limited – the pieces from it will be available in single copies.

Do you have a favourite piece from your new collection?

It's hard to decide. I think it's the maxi dress, because recently I feel good wearing long clothes. I also like the tunic with pockets.

Do you have any plans regarding expanding the collection (jackets, coats, etc? ) or maybe you are planning a winter collection?

Scintilla is just a mini collection for the summer but coats, trousers and warm sweaters will definitely appear in the winter collection. I already have an outline in my head. I'm looking for materials and I can't wait to start sewing!

What is your fashion dream, how do you see the development of your brand?

The dream for now is to find my own studio, combined with a boutique, where people can try everything on and talk to me over coffee. Of course I would like to see more girls wearing BELLE on the streets!

Do you have any favourite places on the internet where you look for inspiration?

Due to editing the Melba magazine I browse many pages related to photography. I also love blogs that show interiors and graphic inspiration. I think everyone knows The Selby or Freunde von Freunden but I also recommend a look at Soft & Slow.

Magdalena's collection is available at Showroom and at BELLE's website.

ÁERON Fall/Winter 2013 Collection

Today I dream about the beautiful Fall/Winter 2013/14 collection by ÁERON.

ÁERON is a fresh Hungarian brand created by Eszter Áron in 2011. Eszter had always been surrounded by fashion as her grandfather was a tailor and her mother worked in the textile industry.

Sophisticated style, harmonic, clean lines and great quality fabrics are very characteristic for Eszter's designs. Her latest collection is full of clean, modern silhouettes, interesting cuts and great fabric combinations.
The colour palette is very simple - timeless black and grey combined with feminine blush tones and a energising pop of purple.

I think that the coats and jackets are the strongest points of the collection although my favourite piece is that gorgeous grey tunic. Also, the bags are definitely worth noticing, the black one has already stolen my heart!

Below there's a selection of my favourite looks from the collection and the stunning Fall/Winter campaign but make sure to check out ÁERON's website to see the whole collection and Eszter's Tumblr for more updates!

Concrete Interior

Today I dream about this amazing interior, designed by Johan Israelson and styled by Tina Hellberg.

Although normally the combination of concrete and grey wouldn't be my favourite because it's a bit cold, it is just perfect now during the heat wave!

After whining all winter about the cold and the snow, now when it's finally hot I just want to lock myself in a cold basement with a bottle of chilled beer :)

On the other hand, the idea of living in the basement isn't so great so I would gladly exchange it for this super cool space! I love the combination of white wooden beams combined with concrete walls and black and white details. With the surrounding plants and warm light it looks quite cosy after all!
